The, What is it? The Golden Eagle?
The, What is it? The Golden Eagle? was commissioned by Icebreaker in 2016 for our System Restart project and has been performed many times since. The piece was inspired by the epic landscapes Kerry experienced on a road trip between Southern California and Arizona the previous year. The title comes courtesy of a Donald Trump quote, and his confusion about the eponymous bird and its potential encounter with wind turbines.
The recording for this release is from a performance at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen as part of soundfestival 2018.
